First DUCATI GOLF CUP

Last December 15 (Thursday), 128 players registered in the very first Golf Tournament organized by the Premium Bike brand Ducati. Held at the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club in Mandaluyong City, an overwhelming support from Ducati owners (ducatisti) and friends filled Banquet B of the Golf Club, all for the benefit of the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF). Ducati Philippines will adopt an Eagle in the facility and name him Desmo (“Desmodromic” commonly refers to the typical valve control system of Ducati motorcycles).

Marc de Joya, Ducati’s General Manager for Distribution together with Manny Cabili of the Ducati Desmo Owners Club of the Philippines (DDOCP), Cesar Montano, and Asec. Ricky Alegre of the Department of Tourism started the tournament with the ceremonial tee off. Immediately after, a shotgun tee off commenced for all the participants.

A second Ducati Golf cup is now part of the Ducati Philippines calendar for 2017. They are very eager in bringing together the Ducati community in a different venue other than super bike racing and regular rides; while at the same time being able to do their share in environment and wildlife preservation.

Congratulations to all the Winners of the 1st Ducati Golf Cup. And to all Ducati’s partners and sponsors in this project… their heartfelt Gratitude.

Turnover ceremony of the proceeds happened last January 27 at Ducati Manila. Ducati Ph President and CEO Toti Alberto, with Ducati Ph Vice President Joy Cua-Alberto handed over the check of donation in simple rites to PEF’s Executive Director, Dennis Salvador together with Kim Atienza, a Ducati owner, media celebrity and animal advocate who is likewise the Foundation’s Ambassador and “Eagle defender”.
