Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI), marketer of Caltex fuels and lubricants, has announced the appointment of Pongtorn “Bon” Tangmanuswong as its new General Manager and Country Chairman, succeeding Billy Liu. With 17 years of experience at Chevron, Tangmanuswong will lead CPI’s nationwide operations across more than 600 Caltex service stations, 450 autoPro workshops, major commercial accounts, and five proprietary terminals.
Tangmanuswong began his career at Chevron in 2008 and has held key leadership roles in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Asset Optimization, and Special Projects across Asia-Pacific markets. Most recently, he served as General Manager and Country Chairman of Chevron (Cambodia) Limited, where he drove significant improvements in product supply, distribution, terminal operations, and marketing. Expressing his vision for CPI, he said: “The Philippine market is dynamic, competitive, and full of untapped potential. I’m committed to leading with vision, energy, and collaboration to shape a successful, sustainable future.”
This leadership transition reflects Chevron’s commitment to advancing its Philippine business and supporting the country’s growing demand for reliable, cleaner energy solutions. Outgoing CPI head Billy Liu, who is moving to a new role at Chevron’s Houston headquarters, expressed confidence in his successor: “Khun Bon has demonstrated strong leadership by driving growth while putting people and partners at the center. I am confident CPI will continue to thrive under his direction.”
