Confidence in 2W Soars as October Motorcycle Sales Hit 19% Growth, MDPPA Reports

The Philippine motorcycle industry continued its upward trajectory in October 2025, posting nationwide sales of 183,502 units, according to the Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association, Inc. (MDPPA). This reflects a 19 percent jump from the 154,168 units sold in the same month last year, signaling sustained demand as more Filipinos turn to practical, fuel-efficient, and traffic-resilient mobility solutions. Year-to-date sales have now reached 1,581,817 units—up 13.5 percent from the 1,393,426 units recorded during the first ten months of 2024.

MDPPA remains confident that the industry will finish 2025 strong, with projections exceeding 1.79 million units sold by year-end. “With just two months to go, we are on pace to surpass our earlier targets, and we expect full-year sales to reach more than 1.79 million units. This growth reflects how deeply motorcycles have become a part of everyday life for Filipinos. Whether for personal use or livelihood, they continue to be the most accessible and reliable way to move forward,” said Engr. Alexander A. Cumpas, MDPPA President.

The Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association, Inc. (MDPPA) represents the country’s leading motorcycle manufacturers—Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, and TVS—and continues to champion road safety, regulatory compliance, environmental protection, and industry innovation. Among its latest initiatives is the Tropang MAALAM campaign, which promotes rider education and safety through awareness and training programs.
