Honda and Its Stakeholders Reaffirm Commitment to Road Safety at One Honda Road Safety Event

Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI), Honda Philippines, Inc. (HPI), and the Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC) remain steadfast in their commitment to promoting road safety. On June 16, 2025, Honda gathered government representatives, media partners, and customers at the HSDC for the “One Honda Road Safety” event to reinforce road safety awareness and showcase its advanced driver assistance technologies.

The event featured a two-part program—an informative morning session and hands-on demonstrations in the afternoon. The seminar covered essential road safety topics including safe driving and riding behavior, hazard prediction, tips on preventive maintenance, handling common vehicle emergencies, and an overview of Honda’s safety technologies.

Attendees had the chance to put these lessons into action during the afternoon activities, which included test drives and rides. Vehicles equipped with Honda SENSING, the brand’s suite of advanced driver-assist systems, were available for participants to experience. A key highlight was the demonstration of the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), where participants rode in a Honda HR-V as it automatically detected and braked for a simulated frontal obstacle. Other Honda SENSING features include Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Low Speed Follow (LSF), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) with Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Auto High Beam (AHB), and Lead Car Departure Notification (LCDN).
*LSF is available in the Honda Civic, HR-V, CR-V, and Civic Type R.
*ADB, or Adaptive Driving Beam, is included in the All-New CR-V RS e:HEV CVT for enhanced visibility without dazzling other drivers.

HPI also showcased its latest motorcycle lineup, emphasizing safety technologies such as the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Combined Braking System (CBS), and RoadSync, which enables access to calls, messages, navigation, and music via The All-New PCX160. Additional features include Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), which activates hazard lights during sudden braking, and Automatic Headlights On (AHO) for increased rider visibility.

In light of the rising number of road accidents in the Philippines, the One Honda Road Safety event served as a renewed call to action. It aligns with Honda’s global safety vision for 2050—zero traffic collision fatalities involving Honda vehicles—with a milestone goal of halving accidents by 2030. Honda underscores that achieving this goal requires collective effort and encourages everyone to stay informed and committed to road safety.
