Honda Philippines Inc. (HPI) has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a culture of road safety among young learners through the Honda Safety Driving Center’s (HSDC) Kids and Students on Safety program in partnership with Don Bosco Elementary and National High School Parañaque. Present during the activity were HSDC Department Manager Mr. Raymund Cristobal, alongside HSDC managers and supervisors, together with school officials led by Principal Mrs. Agnes A. Pelovello. A certificate of appreciation was awarded to HPI in recognition of its continuous efforts and support in road safety education.

Held at the Don Bosco Elementary School grounds, the Kids on Safety (KOS) program highlighted Honda’s advocacy of ensuring children gain early awareness of responsible road behavior. Through interactive discussions, road safety film viewing, and hands-on activities, students were taught pedestrian discipline, traffic sign recognition, safe commuting practices, and the importance of wearing protective gear such as helmets. The activity concluded with a Push Bike Mini Skills Challenge, allowing students to apply what they learned in a safe and controlled setting.

In the afternoon, HPI extended its advocacy to older learners through the Students on Safety (SOS) initiative at Don Bosco National High School Parañaque. The session gathered 180 Senior High School students for an engaging road safety seminar focused on motorcycle safety, defensive driving principles, adherence to traffic rules, pedestrian safety, and responsible commuting. The strong participation demonstrated students’ enthusiasm to become more safety-conscious road users.

Through these initiatives, Honda Philippines Inc. continues to champion the importance of road safety education in schools, recognizing that creating safer roads begins with informed and disciplined individuals. By empowering the youth with the right knowledge and mindset, Honda remains steadfast in its mission to nurture responsible future drivers, commuters, and community members, strengthening its long-standing advocacy for safer roads for all.
