Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) once again reinforced its reputation for fuel efficiency and advanced diesel engineering after achieving impressive results at the 2025 Department of Energy (DOE) Fuel Eco-Run, held on September 24, 2025. The annual activity evaluates the real-world fuel efficiency of vehicles available in the Philippine market, providing consumers with practical and reliable data to support informed vehicle purchasing decisions.
During the event, IPC fielded two of its best-selling light commercial vehicles. The Isuzu D-MAX LS-A 4×2 AT, competing in the N1 category, posted an outstanding 20.63 km/Lge, while the Isuzu mu-X LS-A 4×2 AT achieved an equally notable 17.11 km/Lge in the M1 mid-size SUV category. These results highlight the strong balance of performance, comfort, and efficiency that both models are known for.
“These results reflect what our customers have long experienced with Isuzu vehicles,” said Mr. Robert Carlos, IPC Sales Division Head. “The exceptional performance of the D-MAX and mu-X comes as no surprise, as Isuzu is globally renowned for fuel efficiency. Our advanced diesel engine technology, combined with aerodynamic design, allows these models to perform efficiently across various road conditions, resulting in impressive fuel economy.”
The DOE Fuel Eco-Run was conducted under actual highway driving conditions, with participating vehicles covering more than 150 kilometers along the Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway (TPLEX). Fully supervised by the DOE to ensure standardized and transparent testing, the initiative supports energy efficiency and sustainability while offering consumers credible fuel consumption benchmarks. With these latest results, Isuzu Philippines continues to demonstrate its commitment to delivering durable, reliable, and fuel-efficient vehicles that meet the evolving needs of Filipino motorists.
