Isuzu Maintains Stronghold as the Leading Truck Brand in the Philippines

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has once again reaffirmed its dominance in the truck industry, capturing a commanding 43% market share from January to April 2025. This achievement is based on the combined sales report from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association, Inc. (TMA), with IPC selling a total of 1,592 truck units during the period. This marks the 25th consecutive year that Isuzu has led the Philippine truck market, a testament to the brand’s consistent reliability and trust among Filipino businesses.

According to IPC President Mikio Tsukui, Isuzu’s continued market leadership is a result of its commitment to quality, efficiency, and long-term value. “Owning an Isuzu truck means investing in a product that lasts longer, performs more efficiently, and costs less to maintain. Backed by our nationwide aftersales support, Isuzu trucks help businesses stay competitive by reducing downtime and maximizing profitability,” Tsukui stated.

The brand’s strong performance was led by the Isuzu N-Series, which sold 905 units—a 7.2% increase compared to the same period last year—thanks to its versatility and features like the Automatic Manual Transmission (AMT), ideal for navigating congested urban areas. Medium-duty trucks followed with 545 units sold, posting a 2.4% year-on-year growth and proving popular for long-haul operations. Meanwhile, heavy-duty truck sales surged by 59% with 142 units sold, largely driven by demand for the new S&E Series, which is favored for infrastructure and government projects due to its advanced safety and operational features.

Supporting these vehicles is the ‘Isuzu Advantage’—a robust aftersales ecosystem that includes a nationwide dealer network, readily available parts, and services like the Mobile Medic on-site support and Expert Field Engineers. Comprehensive training programs for drivers and mechanics further enhance vehicle performance, safety, and reliability. “With this strong start to 2025, we are confident we will maintain this momentum and retain our position as the top truck brand in the Philippines,” added Tsukui.
