Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) has reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to environmental stewardship and community development by donating ₱300,000 to the City Government of Alaminos through the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO). The funding will support ongoing mangrove rehabilitation projects aimed at restoring coastal ecosystems, enhancing biodiversity, and protecting communities from the adverse impacts of climate change. This initiative continues IPC’s partnership with Alaminos, which began in 2005 when the company first adopted a coastal area as part of its sustainability program.

Mangroves play a critical role in defending shorelines against erosion, improving fishery productivity, and sequestering carbon emissions. IPC’s Executive Vice President, Yasuhiko Oyama, emphasized that the company’s efforts go beyond vehicle manufacturing. “Restoring ecosystems like mangroves is just one of the ways we give back to the very communities that support us. It’s a reflection of our long-standing commitment to help the country grow—not just economically, but sustainably and equitably,” he said.
In addition to environmental efforts, IPC also extended support to Longos Elementary School, a public school serving marginalized children in a remote coastal community of Alaminos. The company donated essential school supplies such as backpacks, notebooks, and writing materials to 140 students. To help improve learning access and school operations, IPC also provided two printers with ink refills, enabling the school to produce educational resources for the upcoming academic year.
Alaminos City Mayor Arth Bryan Celeste expressed gratitude, noting that IPC’s continuous support since 2005 has been instrumental in driving local progress. “Their donations will go a long way in restoring our mangroves and empowering our students,” he said. These CSR initiatives are aligned with IPC’s core value of “Responsibility to Society and Country,” and contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals by promoting climate action, education, and marine conservation—further solidifying IPC’s role as Your Responsible Partner.
