Kawasaki Strengthens Tricycle Market Leadership as National Sales Outpace Industry Growth in 2025

Kawasaki Philippines further solidified its leadership in the Philippine tricycle segment in 2025, capturing a commanding 61.5% market share, supported by a 14.8% year-on-year growth. The brand’s continued expansion significantly outpaced overall tricycle market growth, reinforcing Kawasaki’s position as the preferred motorcycle brand for livelihood and utility use nationwide.

Beyond its dominance in the tricycle segment, Kawasaki Philippines also delivered a strong overall performance in 2025, recording 15.7% year-on-year growth in total motorcycle sales, surpassing the industry’s overall growth rate. This achievement represents the highest growth among major Japanese motorcycle brands in the local market, reflecting sustained demand across both its Regular Bikes and Leisure Bikes categories.

Kawasaki’s sustained leadership in the tricycle market remains anchored on its trusted Barako 175 and CT line-up, models widely recognized for their fuel efficiency, durability, and reliability in daily commercial operations. These motorcycles continue to play a vital role in supporting income-generating activities, particularly in provincial and semi-urban communities where tricycles remain an essential mode of transportation.

Complementing its strong performance in Regular Bikes, Kawasaki Philippines also maintained positive momentum in its Leisure Bike portfolio, driven by growing consumer interest in premium and higher-displacement models. The company is set to further strengthen this segment with upcoming Kawasaki Leisure Bike model introductions in February 2026, featuring highly anticipated units previously unveiled at major international motor shows, including the Japan Mobility Show and EICMA 2025.

As Kawasaki Philippines moves into the year ahead, the company remains focused on reinforcing its leadership in core segments while expanding its presence across a broader range of motorcycle categories. This continued commitment aims to support riders, livelihood operators, and dealer partners nationwide, while sustaining long-term growth and innovation in the Philippine motorcycle industry.
