Mitsubishi Motors PH Supports Environmental Advocacy at SILAKBO Fun Run 2025

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) took part in the SILAKBO (Sikad-Lakad-Takbo) Fun Run 2025 held at South Evozone, Nuvali in Santa Rosa, Laguna. Organized by the Save Silang-Santa Rosa River Foundation, Inc. (S3R2) in collaboration with the City Government of Santa Rosa, the annual event advocates environmental awareness and raises funds for the protection and rehabilitation of the Silang-Santa Rosa River—a vital water source for the cities of Sta. Rosa, Biñan, and Cabuyao in Laguna, and Silang in Cavite. Proceeds from the event will help support a tree planting activity scheduled for June 2025 in celebration of Arbor Day.

As a board member of S3R2 and a major sponsor, MMPC donated Php100,000 to the initiative, reinforcing its commitment to corporate social responsibility and environmental stewardship. Thousands of participants—including corporate teams, advocacy groups, and fitness enthusiasts—joined various race categories to promote both health and environmental advocacy. MMPC set up a dedicated booth at the venue, featuring the newly launched Mitsubishi XFORCE, and extended hospitality to attendees with free merchandise and refreshments.

Around 60 MMPC employees, led by Executive Vice President for Manufacturing Division Manabu Higuchi and Vice President for Safety, Health and Environment Department Marfel Ancheta, actively participated in the run. Their involvement reflects MMPC’s broader CSR mission, which emphasizes environmental protection, community engagement, and sustainable development. Through initiatives like SILAKBO, MMPC continues to uphold its values of sustainability and responsible corporate citizenship, working toward a greener future for all.
