Suzuki Philippines proudly celebrates another milestone with the V-STROM 250 SX, dubbed the “Master of Adventure,” as it successfully conquered the renowned Cordillera Adventure Tour Category 3 with V-STROM Adventure Philippines (VAP). This passionate group of V-STROM riders took on the treacherous terrains of the Cordillera region, proving the versatility and capability of this lightweight adventure bike, solidifying its title as the ultimate companion for thrill-seekers.
The V-STROM 250 SX’s lightweight design and agile handling made it the perfect bike for the demanding Cordillera trails. Its powerful engine delivered the necessary torque to conquer steep inclines and technical sections, while its comfortable ergonomics allowed riders to endure long hours on the saddle without fatigue.

The VAP Club, known for their love of exploration and adventure on higher-cc V-STROM motorcycles, previously tackled the Cordillera Adventure Tour Categories 1 and 2. For this tour, they challenged the more rigorous Level 3, showcasing the V-STROM 250 SX’s agility and lightweight frame, ideal for navigating the mountain trails of the Cordilleras.
The team was composed of seasoned riders, including VAP President Pat Cunanan, Willie Eustaquio, Ryan Tolentino, Joseph Fernando, and Henry Gabriel, along with motorcycle media correspondent Ian Gongona. Together, they journeyed over 1,000 kilometers, tackling 11,542 curves and 23 checkpoints while facing various weather conditions and terrain types. Adventure MotoVlogger Mcleen Amoguis (Boy Perstaym) documented the journey, capturing the team’s exhilarating experience.

The four-day expedition began in Baguio City and followed a challenging route that included stops at the 2nd Highest Point in Atok, Benguet, Lubuagan, and Tabuk, Kalinga. Day two saw them navigate the twisty roads of Namaltugan, ascend the Mt. Kilang Pass, and traverse the Blazing Mountains of the Gods before ending in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. On the third day, they crossed Malibcong, Sagada, Taccong, and the Aluling Bridge, culminating in Cervantes. The final leg led them from Cervantes to Quirino Skyline, Gregorio del Pilar, Sigay, and the Eagle of the North, before returning to Baguio City. The ride tested both man and machine, with the team enduring monsoon weather, twisty roads, rocky paths, river crossings, and high-altitude locations.

The V-STROM 250 SX’s success in this challenging adventure not only highlighted its durability but also demonstrated the incredible camaraderie among the riders. Throughout the journey, they supported each other through countless challenges, from navigating hairpin turns and hidden trails to braving unpredictable weather conditions.
Suzuki’s participation in the Cordillera Adventure Tour was a first for the brand, and it further strengthened Suzuki’s reputation as a manufacturer of reliable, adventure-ready motorcycles. The V-STROM 250 SX has now cemented its place as a top choice for riders seeking both on- and off-road adventures.
The VAP’s triumphant journey in the Cordillera Adventure Challenge showcased the exceptional spirit and skills of its riders. Their legendary adventure will inspire future generations of enthusiasts to push their limits and explore new frontiers. It’s time to embark on your own adventure ride with the V-Strom 250 SX!
