The All-New BYD eMAX 9 Arrives in the Philippines

BYD Cars Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, officially launched the all-new BYD eMAX 9 DM-i at the 13th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit, redefining the mid-size MPV category with an exceptional blend of innovation, performance, and elegance. As the latest expression of BYD’s electrified excellence, the eMAX 9 DM-i combines cutting-edge Super DM-i hybrid technology with luxurious comfort and intelligent design, offering discerning Filipino families and professionals a refined, sustainable, and practical driving experience.

The BYD eMAX 9 DM-i stands as a hallmark of modern sophistication, featuring the brand’s signature Dragon Face design, full LED lighting, and elegant 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, it exudes premium comfort with a seven-seat layout available in Premium and Advanced variants. Both models offer luxurious leather interiors, tri-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and intelligent convenience features such as hands-free power doors and tailgate. The Premium variant further elevates comfort with ventilated and massaging captain’s chairs, a 15.6-inch infotainment system, and a 12-speaker setup, making it the ideal luxury family MPV.

Powering the eMAX 9 DM-i is BYD’s Super DM-i technology, which seamlessly integrates a 1.5-liter turbocharged generator with a high-output electric motor to deliver a total system output of 271 PS and 315 Nm of torque. The result is a smooth yet powerful acceleration from 0–100 km/h in 8.5 seconds, while maintaining exceptional fuel efficiency. The Premium variant offers up to 170 km pure-electric range, while the Advanced version delivers 95 km, both capable of exceeding 1,000 km total range in hybrid mode. This efficiency was proven in an AAP-certified long-distance run that achieved 1,261.2 km on a single tank and full charge.

Charging is both flexible and fast—compatible with 7 kW AC and 73 kW DC fast charging. The eMAX 9 DM-i’s Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature adds versatility, allowing it to power external devices during outdoor activities or emergencies. On the road, it prioritizes safety and comfort through advanced technologies such as DiSus-C suspension, DiPilot ADAS, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and 360° cameras, supported by eight airbags for complete peace of mind.

Starting at Php 2,678,000 for the Advanced variant and Php 2,998,000 for the Premium model, the BYD eMAX 9 DM-i is available in Cosmos Black, Deep Sea Blue, and Aurora White.
