VinFast, the fast-growing Vietnamese EV brand, has officially launched the VF 6 at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), aiming to deliver a compelling mix of affordability, premium features, and sustainable mobility for Filipino consumers. Designed as a subcompact electric SUV, the VF 6 answers the growing demand for practical, eco-friendly vehicles that suit both city commutes and weekend getaways. With its stylish design, smooth EV performance, and user-friendly tech, the VF 6 emerges as a competitive option for budget-conscious SUV buyers seeking a cleaner alternative.
Offered in two variants—Eco and Plus—the VF 6 is priced at PHP 1,419,000 and PHP 1,610,000 respectively. The Plus trim includes 20 advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) features such as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and forward collision warnings, offering safety and comfort for long drives and heavy urban traffic. Both variants come with a generous buyback guarantee of up to 90% of the vehicle’s original value and are backed by a leading seven-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty. Deliveries for the Eco trim begin in May 2025.
Inside, the VF 6 provides an unexpectedly spacious cabin thanks to its long 2,730 mm wheelbase—longer than many compact SUVs—allowing comfortable seating for up to five passengers. Its EV-first design also features a refined suspension setup suited for Philippine roads, while a large 12.9-inch infotainment screen dominates the dashboard, integrating smartphone features and remote vehicle controls like battery monitoring, car locating, and climate pre-conditioning—ideal for the country’s hot climate.
Performance and practicality combine in the VF 6’s drivetrain and battery. The Plus variant produces 150 kW of power and 310 Nm of torque, enabling confident overtakes and highway cruising. Range anxiety is also less of a concern, with up to 480 km of driving range on a single charge (NEDC standard). VinFast is working with its energy partner, V-GREEN, to build 15,000 charging ports across the Philippines by the end of 2025, ensuring that long-distance travel and daily commutes remain convenient and worry-free.
What further strengthens the VF 6’s appeal is its affordability over time. With no need for oil changes and lower energy costs than gasoline, EV ownership proves cost-effective in the long run. One user in Vietnam reported spending only PHP 750 for maintenance after 12,000 kilometers—cheaper than servicing a motorcycle. Supported by upcoming service tie-ups with Motech and JIGA, and a target of 100 authorized service centers nationwide, VinFast’s VF 6 is poised to make EV adoption more realistic, accessible, and rewarding for everyday Filipino drivers.
