BYD Cars Philippines and ACMobility have officially launched the BYD Seagull, a groundbreaking electric vehicle (EV) designed to make EV ownership more accessible to Filipinos. This compact, stylish, and affordable EV combines sleek aesthetics with cutting-edge technology, offering first-time buyers an electrified mobility experience at an introductory price of Php 898,000. The BYD Seagull’s design is both compact and spacious, ideal for navigating urban environments. It measures 3,780mm in length, 1,715mm in width, and 1,580mm in height, featuring a tight 4.95m turning radius. Its exterior includes striking LED tail lamps, power-adjustable heated mirrors, and 16-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the Seagull boasts two-tone seats with leather accents, a 10.1-inch rotating infotainment system compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 7-inch LCD cluster. These features ensure both style and practicality without compromising on user experience.

Under the hood, the BYD Seagull is powered by a 75 PS permanent magnet synchronous motor with 135 Nm of torque, allowing it to travel up to 300 kilometers on a single charge. With support for both DC and AC charging, including a 30kW DC fast charging capability, the Seagull is perfect for various charging scenarios. Its acceleration from 0 to 50 km/h in 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 130 km/h make it suitable for dynamic urban driving, while vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality adds versatility by powering external devices.
