The Kia Carnival Turbo HEV: Ushering in a New Era of Electrified Luxury and Performance

Kia Philippines, through its official distributor ACMobility, is expanding its Carnival lineup with the introduction of the Kia Carnival Turbo HEV. This new hybrid variant brings a sophisticated blend of eco-friendly performance, luxury, and advanced technology to the iconic MPV, making it the first-ever hybrid in its class in the country. Previously powered by a diesel engine, the Carnival now features an advanced hybrid system that offers more dynamic performance, smoother acceleration, and quieter operation while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency.

The new hybrid model enhances the Carnival’s reputation as a premium family vehicle, delivering an “Everyday First Class” experience with its state-of-the-art features and eco-friendly design. The Carnival Turbo HEV is part of Kia’s ongoing electrification journey, following the EV6 and EV9, showcasing the brand’s commitment to sustainable mobility. This variant combines the Carnival’s signature versatility with cutting-edge hybrid technology, offering families a smarter, greener, and more sophisticated driving experience.

Equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline hybrid system, the Carnival Turbo HEV generates 245 PS and 367 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful in its class. Power is delivered to the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission, ensuring smooth and efficient driving. The vehicle is also fitted with ventilated rear disc brakes for enhanced braking performance and improved cooling efficiency.

The Carnival Turbo HEV retains the signature bold design of its predecessors, with distinctive features such as the Tiger Nose Grille and 4-cube LED headlights. It also includes advanced technologies like a 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a range of modern conveniences such as wireless charging, a digital rearview mirror, and a rotary-style shifter. Safety is a priority with Kia’s DriveWise suite, which includes Smart Cruise Control, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, and an 8-airbag system.

Inside, the new hybrid variant offers the same spacious, refined interior as other Carnival models, with added luxury through its exclusive Navy Blue and Misty Grey color scheme. Premium features include power leather seats, automatic climate control, and the Premium Relaxation Seats in the second row, ensuring maximum comfort for all passengers. The 12.3-inch Multi-information Display further enhances the driving experience.

The Kia Carnival Turbo HEV will be available in all 40 Kia dealerships nationwide starting December 1, 2024, with a price tag of PHP 3,488,000. It comes with a comprehensive warranty package, including a 5-year/160,000 km vehicle warranty, a 5-year warranty for the electric motor, and an 8-year warranty for the hybrid battery. Buyers can choose from colors like Aurora Black Pearl, Ceramic Silver, and the exclusive Ivory Silver, with 24/7 roadside assistance included.
