The OMODA E5, a cutting-edge electric compact crossover SUV, has achieved impressive back-to-back five-star safety ratings from both the European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP) and the Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP), reinforcing its reputation for exceptional global automotive engineering.
In the Euro NCAP evaluation, the OMODA E5 excelled in safety performance, including the integrity of its high-voltage battery, with additional frontal offset and oblique pole crash tests conducted to assess its comprehensive protection. The model earned scores of 87% for Adult Occupant Protection, 88% for Child Occupant Protection, and 88% for Safety Assist.
Similarly, the ANCAP test results mirrored Euro NCAP’s findings, with the OMODA E5 scoring 87% for Adult Occupant Protection, 88% for Child Occupant Protection, and 83% for Safety Assist. These ratings underscore OMODA’s strong commitment to safety and innovation.

The OMODA E5’s body features a 78% high-strength steel composition, with ultra-high-strength steel strategically placed at the front and reinforced sections along the side B-pillars and door sills. This design maximizes occupant protection by resisting frontal collision impacts and dispersing side forces during accidents, preventing door intrusion and preserving cabin integrity.
In crash tests, the OMODA E5’s cabin remained stable, demonstrating minimal deformation. Its child seat interfaces also ensured reliable installation and enhanced safety for young passengers. The advanced airbag and stability systems further optimize protection for both adult and child occupants.
Equipped with top-tier active safety technologies, including AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking) for Vulnerable Road User (VRU) protection and advanced Safety Assist systems, the OMODA E5 leads in proactive collision prevention. These technologies, paired with its responsive AEB system, significantly reduce the likelihood of accidents involving unpredictable road users.
Beyond safety, the OMODA E5 delivers a remarkable electric range of over 430 kilometers (WLTP), surpassing expectations with real-world testing results from the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP). Its fast-charging capabilities enable recharging from 30% to 80% in just 28 minutes, ensuring a seamless driving experience, while highway noise levels are impressively low at 62.9 decibels at 120 km/h.
OMODA E5’s crash test results from both Euro NCAP and ANCAP:
| Test Category | Euro NCAP Score | ANCAP Score |
| Adult Occupant Protection | 87% | 87% |
| Child Occupant Protection | 88% | 88% |
| Safety Assist | 88% | 83% |
This table provides a clear comparison of the OMODA E5’s performance across different safety categories in both testing organizations.
“The OMODA E5’s five-star safety ratings from Euro NCAP and ANCAP highlight our dedication to developing globally competitive vehicles that meet the highest safety standards,” said Terry Hu, Country Director of OMODA Philippines. “We are excited to see the OMODA E5 on Philippine roads soon, as it offers a fusion of style, technology, and safety.”
OMODA and JAECOO have rapidly expanded into 32 countries, establishing a strong global presence with over 1,000 showrooms and 370,000 combined users. The OMODA E5 is now available for pre-order in the Philippines, priced below PHP 1.8 million, with the OMODA C7 expected to launch in 2025.
