President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the launch of the first official Tesla Center in the Philippines, celebrating Tesla’s decision to invest in the country. The President praised Tesla for recognizing the Philippines’ potential, supported by forward-thinking policies and a focus on innovation. He emphasized the government’s commitment to building infrastructure and policies that will support the growth of electric vehicles (EVs) in the country.

During his speech, President Marcos highlighted the country’s vision for electric mobility, expressing optimism that more EVs will populate Philippine streets in the near future. “What may seem aspirational today—like having half of our vehicles as EVs—will become achievable as we continue to enhance infrastructure and policies,” he stated. The President also acknowledged Tesla’s role in empowering the local workforce by providing opportunities for Filipino talents to lead in the global shift toward sustainable technologies.

The Tesla Center in Uptown Parade is a comprehensive facility that houses Tesla Philippines’ head office, an experience center, a delivery hub, and after-sales service support. This center aims to provide customers with a seamless, all-in-one Tesla experience, from purchasing to after-sales services. The establishment of this facility is a significant step in promoting the adoption of electric vehicles in the Philippines.

Isabel Fan, Regional Director of Tesla Philippines, expressed Tesla’s commitment to investing in local infrastructure and talent. She highlighted the importance of the Tesla Charging Network, which operates 24/7 to support Tesla owners, and the company’s plans to expand charging infrastructure in the country. “We are dedicated to transcending the Philippines toward sustainable energy through continued investment and local employment,” Fan said.
