Toyota Motor Philippines Launches New GR Yaris with Rally-Inspired Performance and Automatic Transmission

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has officially launched the New GR Yaris, now available in both manual and automatic transmissions. This rally-bred performance car, inspired by the World Rally Championship (WRC), embodies Toyota’s philosophy of creating ever-better cars through motorsports. Retail sales start on March 6.

The New GR Yaris boasts a sportier and more aerodynamic exterior, with 18-inch 225/40 aluminum-forged wheels, LED lights, and a rear spoiler that enhances its rally heritage. Powered by a G16E-GTS 3-cylinder engine, it delivers 280 PS and 390 Nm of torque, offering improved performance with upgraded drive modes, a sub radiator, and an intercooler spray for extra cooling.

Customers can choose between the 1.6L Turbo A/T with an 8-speed automatic transmission and paddle shifters, or the 1.6L Turbo M/T with a 6-speed manual transmission. Inside, the driver-centric cockpit features a 12.3-inch TFT display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with enhanced safety systems, including Toyota Safety Sense, Blind Spot Monitoring, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Prices start at PHP 3,391,000 for the M/T variant and PHP 3,550,000 for the A/T variant, available in colorways such as Super White, Emotional Red, Precious Black, and the new Precious Metal. Fans can catch the New GR Yaris in action at the 2025 TOYOTA GAZOO Racing Philippine Cup on March 22 at Clark International Speedway, with free admission.
