BYD and ACMobility Energize Cebu and the Visayas with Unified Push Toward Electric Mobility

BYD Cars Philippines and ACMobility have launched a coordinated initiative to drive electric mobility in Cebu and the Visayas, highlighted by the BYD Tech Tour at SM Seaside City Cebu and the activation of 16 new ACMobility EV charging stations across the island province. This partnership merges BYD’s innovative vehicle offerings with ACMobility’s expanding infrastructure network, accelerating the region’s access to sustainable transportation. Together, they envision a future where electrification is practical and within reach for everyday Filipinos, especially in key areas beyond Metro Manila.

BYD continues to build momentum in Cebu through immersive experiences and dealership expansion. From April 25 to 27, BYD showcased its cutting-edge electric vehicles at SM Seaside during the Tech Tour, offering exclusive test drives and savings for attendees. The company’s commitment is evident in the growing number of dealerships across the region—including BYD Cebu North, Ayala Center Cebu, and IL Corso—with upcoming branches set to open in Central Cebu, Toledo, and Cebu South. These developments aim to make world-class EVs easily accessible to more Cebuanos.

Meanwhile, ACMobility is reinforcing this movement by growing a dependable and future-ready EV charging network. With active charge points already operating in Cebu City, Bantayan, and Camotes Islands, the company targets over 35 sites across the Visayas by the end of 2025. This expansion is guided by the Philippine EV Spine initiative and aims to provide EV drivers consistent access to charging in both cities and rural destinations. ACMobility’s partnerships with Ayala Malls, GlobalStar, and others help bring charging to previously underserved areas.

To support 24/7 access and system reliability, ACMobility has implemented a flexible and affordable pricing model through the Evro app, offering AC charging from ₱33.5 and DC from ₱38. Subscription plans and prepaid options like Charge500 make it easier for EV users to save and charge on their own terms. These plans are designed to support the growing EV community with convenience and value, ensuring long-term accessibility across the Visayas region.

Ultimately, the partnership between BYD and ACMobility stands as a national blueprint for sustainable transportation—pairing vehicle innovation with infrastructure readiness. Together, they are not only electrifying Cebu but also paving the way for a more connected and climate-conscious Philippines. For those interested in test drives, dealership visits, or EV charging collaborations, both brands are ready to engage the public and shape the future of Filipino mobility.
