The Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association, Inc. (MDPPA) remains steadfast in its mission to promote safer roads in the Philippines, having educated 1,088 individuals in the first half of 2025 through a series of Road Safety Seminars. These initiatives reached a wide array of participants, including students, traffic enforcers, city employees, and motorcycle riders—each trained to become more responsible and safety-conscious road users.
MDPPA’s advocacy kicked off at the University of Makati, where it held two major seminars in February. The first session, conducted on February 13, engaged 65 students from the College of Business and Financial Science and the Institute of Imaging Health Sciences. This was followed by a larger seminar on February 27, which gathered 345 students from seven different colleges and institutes within the university, demonstrating strong institutional support for road safety education.

The campaign extended beyond academic institutions, as MDPPA reached 155 technical-vocational students at the Dualtech Training Center Foundation Inc. on April 25. The program empowered future professionals with critical safety knowledge they can apply in their daily lives and careers. Then, on May 15, 139 Quezon City traffic enforcers underwent focused training to enhance their expertise in traffic management, accident prevention, and road discipline.
Further expanding its reach, MDPPA participated in Road Safety Week on May 20 through a collaboration with the Land Transportation Office (LTO), where 77 motorcycle riders attended a seminar at Bulwagan Hall in Quezon City. Two days later, on May 22, the association returned to the city for another safety session with 232 participants, including LGU employees and riders. On June 12, MDPPA also brought its advocacy to Tanay, Rizal, in partnership with the local government unit, educating 75 residents on responsible riding habits and road awareness.
Through these educational efforts, MDPPA is shaping a culture of shared responsibility on the road. “Through these seminars, we are not just imparting knowledge—we are shaping a safety-first mindset that resonates with every generation of riders,” said Michael Lopez, Chairperson of MDPPA’s Road Safety Committee. With more seminars planned for the second half of the year, MDPPA remains committed to its vision of safer journeys for every Filipino.
