Yamaha Grand Prix Fuels the Future of Philippine Racing in Thrilling Round 2

TARLAC, Philippines – Yamaha Motor Philippines reaffirmed its commitment to grassroots motorsports as Yamaha Grand Prix Round 2 delivered another weekend of high-intensity racing at Tarlac Circuit Hill. Bringing together aspiring racers, seasoned competitors, partner dealers, and rising BLU CRU talents, the event highlighted Yamaha’s dedication to developing the next generation of Filipino racing champions through competitive motorsports and its globally recognized BLU CRU rider development program.

More than a championship series, the Yamaha Grand Prix continues to provide riders with a professional platform to sharpen their skills, gain valuable race experience, and demonstrate sportsmanship. This season also introduced the YZF-R15M Dealer Cup, strengthening collaboration between Yamaha’s nationwide dealer network and the BLU CRU program. Through the unique Dealer Draft Pick, dealers formed two-rider teams by selecting promising young talents, creating new opportunities for rider development while building stronger dealer participation in Philippine motorsports.

Round 2 featured intense battles across multiple categories, including the Aerox SP R&D Sprint Cup, Sniper Limited GP Invitational, Sniper Limited Intermediate, R15M BLU CRU Junior Cup, and R15M Dealer Cup. The newly launched Aerox SP R&D Sprint Cup showcased Yamaha’s commitment to innovation by allowing racers to continuously develop their machines throughout the season, while the Junior Cup continued to prepare young riders for higher levels of national and international competition.

Across two days of racing, competitors delivered outstanding performances that rewarded consistency, speed, and determination. Masato Fernando, Christian Anderson, Kerwin Chang, Peeno Chang, Nedy Duran, Kervie Bergania, Joharry Suba, Myron Delos Santos, and Rand Bergania were among the standout performers, earning podium finishes in their respective classes. The Dealer Cup likewise demonstrated the strength of Yamaha’s dealer-supported racing teams, further reinforcing the brand’s long-term investment in developing future racing talent.
