TOTAL DOMINATION BY APRILIA TUAREG RACING AT THE RO RALLY MARATHON: ONE-TWO FINISH OVERALL AND CLASS HAT-TRICK

Jacopo Cerutti and the Aprilia Tuareg Racing Team delivered a phenomenal debut at the Ro Rally Marathon in Romania, marking their first-ever participation with total dominance. Cerutti not only clinched the FIM 5 class win but also topped the overall standings, with teammate Marco Menichini finishing right behind him in second. The team secured a remarkable class podium sweep, with Francesco Montanari taking third, solidifying Aprilia’s authority in the competition.

The Ro Rally Marathon spanned seven days, covering over 1,800 kilometers of special stages across diverse and grueling terrain. Riders faced extreme weather conditions—mud, dust, rain, and heat—testing both their skills and the resilience of their machines. Despite one stage being canceled due to weather, the Aprilia team’s consistency and strength never wavered, with Cerutti winning nearly every stage and Menichini triumphing in the fourth.

Cerutti’s performance was a masterclass in control and confidence, showcasing his seamless connection with the Aprilia Tuareg across all terrain types. His success at this event underscores both his personal talent and the bike’s capability, as he clinched overall and class titles on his debut. Menichini’s solid showing earned him second place overall and in class, proving his consistency and speed as he led the fourth stage.

Francesco Montanari added to the team’s celebration by rounding out the FIM 5 class podium and finishing fourth overall. Despite minor setbacks, Montanari’s performance was a clear indicator of his growing strength as a rider and his synergy with the Aprilia machine. Together, the trio demonstrated Aprilia’s competitive edge in endurance rally racing.

This rally served as a crucial testing ground for the upcoming Africa Eco Race 2026. With no speed limits and extreme terrain, the team was able to gather vital data on bike endurance, tire performance, and engine reliability. The Tuareg Rally, developed in collaboration with the Guareschi brothers’ Corse, once again proved itself as a rugged, reliable machine capable of top-tier performance—paving the way for even greater challenges ahead.
