Access Plus Racing Secures Dominant 1-2 Finish at CIS to Tighten PSBK Title Hold

Access Plus Racing tightened its hold on the 2025 Philippine Superbike Championship (PSBK) title race with another stellar weekend at Clark International Speedway (CIS) for Round 4, capping off the event with a commanding 1-2 finish in Race 2. Despite narrowly missing out on pole position, brothers Timothy Joseph “TJ” Alberto and Troy Alberto delivered podium finishes in both races, with TJ further extending his championship lead after securing his seventh win of the season. The team’s performance underscored its dominance in the series and its determination to stay ahead as the season moves past the halfway mark.

In Race 1, TJ powered his Ducati Panigale V4 into the lead at Turn 1, with Troy slotting into second before engaging in a fierce duel with rival Marvin Mangulabnan. Mangulabnan briefly took P2 and began closing in on TJ, but the championship leader kept his cool and rebuilt his advantage to finish 2.258 seconds clear, also setting the fastest lap of the race—quicker than the pole-setting time. Troy crossed the line in third, adding valuable points to the team’s tally.

Race 2 saw TJ starting from pole and immediately seizing control, with Troy again in hot pursuit. Mangulabnan’s challenge ended after a technical issue, allowing Troy to cruise to second and secure a dominant 1-2 finish for Access Plus Racing and Ducati Philippines. TJ’s near-15-second winning margin reinforced his unstoppable pace, while Troy strengthened his grip on third place in the standings and kept pressure on Mangulabnan for the runner-up spot.

With seven wins out of eight races, TJ now leads the championship by 43 points heading into Round 5 at the Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC) on September 6–7. The team remains focused on consistent, risk-free racing while continuing to push for victories. Both riders aim to carry their momentum into the next round, with TJ targeting another win at BRC and Troy determined to close the gap in the battle for second overall.
