Suzuki Philippines successfully wrapped up the first leg of the Burgman EconoTour, an event designed to put the Burgman Street – in both Standard and Executive Class (EX) variants – to the ultimate real-world test. The 275-kilometer ride from Suzuki Caloocan to Coco’s Beach in Bolinao, Pangasinan, gathered 136 enthusiastic riders, including media representatives and vloggers, who experienced firsthand why this maxi-sized 125cc scooter is the top choice for daily commuting and long-distance touring.
Despite challenging weather conditions and varying road surfaces, participants achieved an outstanding average fuel consumption of 70 km/L – a figure that exceeded the WMTC-rated fuel economy of 54.9 km/L for the Standard and 56.8 km/L for the EX variant. The ride kicked off at 3:00 AM from the Suzuki Caloocan Cyclemar 3S Shop, passing through Pampanga, Tarlac, and Pangasinan with checkpoints at Suzuki Pampanga Wheeltek 3S Shop, Suzuki Tarlac LGK Guanzon 3S Shop, and Suzuki Alaminos Guanzon 3S Shop. The first rider crossed the finish line at around 10:00 AM, with the last participant arriving at 1:20 PM.
