inDrive has been awarded the Philippines Technology Excellence Award for AI – Transportation at the Asian Technology Excellence Awards 2025, a recognition of its mission to prove that artificial intelligence can empower people rather than replace them. This achievement underscores inDrive’s commitment to reshaping urban mobility in the Philippines through innovations built on fairness, transparency, and inclusivity. The company’s human-centered AI approach is creating more equitable transport solutions in fast-growing markets, offering millions of Filipinos reliable, affordable, and safer rides.

inDrive’s human-centric AI model goes beyond fare automation by enabling fairer order matching, transparent regulations in line with government-mandated fare matrices, and optimized routing — while allowing users to retain the freedom to choose their final fare. The company also integrates AI across its platform to enhance the riding experience, from photo-control systems that verify vehicle safety and condition, to AI-assisted routing of support queries, predictive demand algorithms that place drivers where they are most needed, and highly accurate ETAs for congested areas like Metro Manila and Cebu.

The company’s innovative use of Gemini AI-powered real-time translations addresses communication gaps in a multilingual country like the Philippines. By providing context-aware translations across English, Tagalog, Cebuano, and other dialects, inDrive has improved booking rates and reduced miscommunications between passengers and drivers. Its AI moderation systems also scan booking notes, ride messages, and shared media to prevent misuse, resulting in a threefold reduction in inappropriate ride instructions within three months — creating a safer space for commuters and drivers.
“Technology is often seen as cold and impersonal,” said Mark Tolley, APAC Director, inDrive. “But at inDrive, we see AI as a tool to restore trust, strengthen communities, and make everyday journeys more humane. This recognition inspires us to continue building mobility solutions that are more reliable, inclusive, and smarter for Filipinos.” Beyond ride-hailing, inDrive plans to bring its Superapp services to the country, including courier services and online groceries, reinforcing its vision of making technology a force for fairness, opportunity, and better mobility for all.
