Cavite Takes Spotlight in MPTC’s Biyaheng South Experiential Tour 2025

Cavite proudly took center stage in the recently concluded Biyaheng South Experiential Tour 2025, showcasing its rich blend of history, culture, and culinary treasures made more accessible by Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation’s (MPTC) CAVITEX and CALAX expressways. The two-day event was successfully hosted by MPT South, a subsidiary of MPTC, in partnership with the Department of Tourism Region IV-A (DOT IV-A) and the Cavite Tourism Office. Co-presented by mWell, the tour highlighted “wellness on the road,” with participants wearing mWell watches to track their health and activity throughout the journey.

A group of media partners and influencers, dubbed the Ka-Biyaheros, embarked on a seamless and stylish journey aboard Chery Tiggo vehicles — including the Tiggo Cross HEV, Tiggo Grand Tour, and the all-new Tiggo REV LE — courtesy of Chery Philippines, the tour’s official mobility partner. With support from Quest Hotels, Profriends, Coffee Builders, and Sky Ranch Tagaytay, the tour delivered a curated experience combining culture, leisure, and local flavors.

The first day kicked off with breakfast at Coffee Builders in Silang, followed by a special preview of the soon-to-open CALAX Governor’s Drive Interchange in General Trias, which promises to ease congestion and improve travel efficiency across Cavite. The group then visited the Geronimo Berenguer De Los Reyes (GBR) Museum, immersing themselves in Philippine history and aviation heritage, before heading to Cabezera Ridge View Restaurant in Tagaytay for lunch with panoramic views of Taal Lake. The day concluded with fun at Sky Ranch Tagaytay and a relaxing stay at Quest Hotel, where the group also enjoyed treats from the hotel’s French-inspired Baker J Café.

Day two opened with breakfast at Quest Hotel before heading to People’s Park in the Sky, offering breathtaking views of Taal Lake and Laguna de Bay. Lunch followed at Siglo Modern Filipino, which served modern interpretations of classic Filipino dishes. The afternoon featured a unique community tour at Lancaster New City by Profriends, where participants explored educational, commercial, and spiritual landmarks, including St. Edward School and The Parish of the Holy Family.

“This tour is a celebration of what Cavite has to offer,” said Arlette V. Capistrano, Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management of MPT South. “Through the Biyaheng South Experiential Tour, we are not only showcasing Cavite’s diverse attractions but also reinforcing our commitment to support local tourism and communities.”
