THE YECVT EXPERIENCE: SHIFT TO PERFORMANCESHOWCASING THE TRUE EVOLUTION OF RIDING

Every motorcycle rider aims to have complete control over their ride—whether it’s the power to unleash stronger acceleration when needed, or the capability to shift into a smoother, more relaxed mode when desired. Every twist of the throttle, every turn of the tires, and every touch of the brakes contributes to an optimized riding experience.

This year, Yamaha Motor Philippines introduced a groundbreaking innovation that brings manual-like control to an automatic system: the Yamaha Electric Continuously Variable Transmission (YECVT). This advanced transmission technology offers seamless transitions across speeds, delivering refined ride control like never before. Featured in the NMAX Tech MAX and Aerox SP, YECVT redefines how riders experience power, efficiency, and performance on the road.To showcase the full potential of this technology, Yamaha hosted a series of rider-focused activities highlighting YECVT’s unmatched adaptability in both real-world and high-intensity environments.

NMAX TECH MAX TOURING AT PICO DE LORO

On November 23, 2025, NMAX riders set out on a scenic yet demanding journey from Pico de Loro to the iconic Kaybiang Tunnel. The route’s winding curves, steep climbs, and long open stretches provided the perfect setting for the YECVT to shine.Throughout the ride, participants enjoyed quick throttle response on tight curves and smooth, consistent acceleration during uphill segments—showcasing the engine’s improved power delivery at every turn. The refined engine behavior in twisty sections led to easier handling and heightened rider confidence, allowing them to glide effortlessly through varying elevations. The touring experience demonstrated how YECVT optimizes both stability and power—ideal for everyday mobility and leisurely weekend rides.

AEROX TRACK DAY AT CARMONA RACE TRACK

The shift to pure performance intensified on November 29, 2025, during the Aerox Track Day at Carmona Race Track. In a controlled racing environment, riders pushed the Aerox SP and its YECVT system to the limit. Here, the technology revealed a completely different personality—aggressive, precise, and race-ready. Riders experienced rapid acceleration out of corners, consistent power delivery on straights, and improved control under high-speed conditions. The track day highlighted how YECVT responds instantly to intense riding demands, offering a sport-tuned character fit for adrenaline-driven enthusiasts.

ONE TECHNOLOGY, TWO WORLDS — UNITED BY PERFORMANCE

Two motorcycles, two distinct personalities—yet one transformative technology optimizing every ride for refinement or speed. The two activities revealed how YECVT seamlessly adapts to each motorcycle across different riding conditions. On the road with the NMAX Tech MAX, YECVT prioritizes smooth acceleration, composed handling, and refined efficiency across mixed terrains. On the track with the Aerox SP, it shifts into a more aggressive, performance-focused behavior, delivering precision, control, and consistent power. These experiences allow riders to explore Yamaha’s next-generation technology in real-world scenarios, proving that YECVT isn’t only built for everyday reliability—it’s engineered for those seeking heightened control and elevated performance.
