Honda Foundation, Inc. (HFI), in partnership with Tamang Ride PH, kicked off 2026 by conducting the first “Kids on Safety” program on January 31 at Tanza Elementary School in Navotas City, Metro Manila. The initiative marks the latest effort of both organizations to promote road safety awareness, this time focusing on younger children.
The two-weekend activity engaged children aged 7 to 10 years old, providing them with age-appropriate lessons on safe road behavior. A key highlight of the program was HFI’s donation of 100 safety helmets, underscoring the importance of discipline, proper helmet use, and adherence to safety standards at an early age.

The Kids on Safety program is designed to introduce essential road safety concepts through realistic situations and hands-on learning, enabling participants to apply practical skills in their daily lives. Tailored for younger learners, the program draws from the Tamang Ride PH Road Safety module for children, which is based on the foundations of the Honda Safety Driving Center (HSDC) program. It also incorporates selected elements from HSDC’s Teen Smartmodule for youth aged 16 to 18. Through these initiatives, Honda and Tamang Ride PH aim to inspire individuals of all ages to remain informed, responsible, and committed to safe road practices.

These educational programs, alongside advanced technologies such as Honda SENSING and the safety features integrated into Honda motorcycles, support Honda’s 2050 global safety goal of achieving zero collision fatalities involving any Honda vehicle. By 2030, Honda aims to reduce collision-related fatalities by 50 percent. Honda believes that road safety is a shared responsibility that should begin as early as possible—both at home and in schools—to help children grow into more cautious, mindful, and responsible road users.
Tamang Ride PH is a nationwide road safety movement dedicated to creating safer roads for everyone, with a strong focus on children and new drivers. Honda Foundation, Inc. joined Tamang Ride PH as a Road Safety Ambassador in 2025, with HSDC contributing to the development of educational materials used in the program.
