Suzuki Philippines supercharged its presence at Makina Moto Expo 2026, held from April 10 to 12 at the SMX Convention Center, unveiling a bold new direction for Filipino riders under the theme “Suzuki Supercharged: Power in Motion.” The brand transformed its exhibit into a dynamic showcase centered on real-world capability, presenting motorcycles designed not only for urban roads but also for rugged outdoor conditions. Through its interactive Suzuki Hub, the company highlighted its legacy of power, durability, and performance while introducing a refreshed lineup that signals its transition into a new era of adventure-focused mobility.
Marking the expo’s 10th anniversary, Suzuki stood at the forefront of the celebration alongside industry leaders, media, content creators, and motorcycle enthusiasts nationwide. The opening day featured the official unveiling of new models that set the tone for the brand’s “power in motion” direction. Central to the launch was the introduction of the Real Man Series, composed of the DR160 and V-STROM 160, both designed to bring big-bike inspiration into more accessible, everyday machines for Filipino riders seeking adventure without compromise.

The V-STROM 160 embodies long-distance comfort and adventure touring capability, equipped with a 162cc engine delivering 10.5 kW and 14.5 Nm of torque, dual-channel ABS, LED lighting, and a full-color LCD display. With fuel efficiency reaching up to 50 km/L (WMTC) and an estimated range of 650 km per full tank, it is built for extended journeys and reliable performance. Meanwhile, the DR160 carries Suzuki’s dual-sport DNA, featuring a 162cc engine producing 11 kW and 14 Nm of torque, high ground clearance, rugged styling, and front ABS for added stability. Both models come with Suzuki’s fuel-injected efficiency and a 3-year warranty, reinforcing durability and confidence for everyday riders.

The three-day event also emphasized rider engagement and lifestyle connection. Hosted by Rovilson Fernandez, the program addressed real mobility challenges such as fuel costs and the growing demand for practical yet versatile motorcycles. Day two’s “Rough and Ready” segment brought together moto vloggers and riding personalities for real-world test rides, while the final day’s “Curb and Culture” highlighted community, identity, and shared passion among riders through meet-and-greet sessions and interactive activities. These experiences reinforced Suzuki’s position not only as a manufacturer but also as a brand deeply connected to rider culture in the Philippines.

Suzuki Philippines President Koichiro Hirao emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting both daily commuting and outdoor exploration, underscoring the Real Man Series as a response to evolving rider needs. The Suzuki Hub itself served as a central attraction, featuring a wide range of models from commuter bikes to adventure machines, alongside interactive displays and test ride opportunities. With its strong showcase and hands-on experience, Suzuki reaffirmed its mission to deliver mobility solutions that empower Filipino riders—wherever the road leads, and beyond it.
