BAIC Philippines Expands Dealer Network Through Strategic Partnership with Gateway Group

BAIC Philippines, under UAAGI Auto Inc., has officially strengthened its nationwide expansion efforts through a partnership with MG Gateway Mantrade Corp., formalized during a contract signing ceremony held on June 8, 2026, at the BAIC flagship showroom in North EDSA. The agreement marks a significant milestone for the brand as Gateway Group, one of the country’s largest and most established automotive dealer groups, officially adds BAIC to its growing portfolio of automotive brands, further reinforcing the marque’s commitment to making its vehicles more accessible to Filipino consumers.

As part of the partnership, Gateway Group will establish new BAIC dealerships in Manila Bay, Taguig, and Matina, Davao. These strategically located facilities are expected to strengthen BAIC’s presence in key urban and regional markets while expanding customer access to the brand’s growing lineup of SUVs and new energy vehicles. “Gateway Group coming on board tells us the demand is real, and we’d rather grow where people are already asking for us than get ahead of ourselves,” said Timothy Sytin, Brand Head of BAIC Philippines. “Each new location is one more place a Filipino can get to know BAIC up close, and that’s what keeps this moving.”

Beyond expanding its retail footprint, the collaboration highlights the shared commitment of BAIC Philippines and Gateway Group to support the country’s transition toward more sustainable mobility solutions. The partnership will play an important role in promoting BAIC’s growing new-energy vehicle lineup, which includes the BAIC B30e Dune Hybrid, BAIC B40e Trailmaster rEV, BAIC B60 Beaumont Diesel Hybrid, and BAIC B60e Beaumont rEV. These models represent BAIC’s continuing efforts to deliver globally competitive hybrid and electrified SUVs tailored to the evolving needs of Filipino motorists.

The contract signing was attended by key executives from both organizations, including Timothy Sytin, Brand Head of BAIC Philippines; Kenneth Sytin, Vice Chairman of UAAGI; Markane Goho, Chairman and CEO of MG Gateway Mantrade Corp.; and Alvin Lu, General Manager of MG Gateway Mantrade Corp. With the addition of Gateway Group to its dealer network, BAIC Philippines continues to build momentum in the country’s competitive automotive market, strengthening dealership accessibility, customer support, and aftersales services while supporting the growing demand for advanced and electrified mobility solutions nationwide.
