QUEZON CITY, Philippines — BYD Cars Philippines continues to accelerate the country’s transition to electrified mobility with the launch of the all-new BYD Atto 2, a compact SUV designed to make electric driving more accessible than ever. Introduced at the Trinoma Activity Center, the newest addition to BYD’s New Energy Vehicle (NEV) lineup is offered in both full Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) and Super DM-i plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants, giving Filipino motorists the flexibility to choose the electrified powertrain that best suits their lifestyle and driving needs.

“The BYD Atto 2 proves that shifting to electric vehicles is now a practical reality for everyday Filipino drivers,” said Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines. “Whether customers prefer the simplicity of a full electric vehicle or the extended range offered by our Super DM-i plug-in hybrid technology, the Atto 2 makes the transition to electrified mobility easier and more attainable.” Built around BYD’s renowned Blade Battery, every variant combines durability, safety, and long-term reliability while delivering the smart technology and practicality expected from a modern urban SUV.

The lineup consists of three variants: the Atto 2 EV, Atto 2 DM-i Premium, and Atto 2 DM-i Dynamic. The fully electric Atto 2 EV delivers up to 380 kilometers of pure electric driving range and exclusively features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, allowing owners to power appliances and electronic devices directly from the vehicle. Meanwhile, the Atto 2 DM-i variants utilize BYD’s latest Super DM-i plug-in hybrid technology, delivering up to 45 kilometers of electric-only driving while achieving a combined driving range of up to 1,340 kilometers, based on an efficiency run conducted in partnership with the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP). The DM-i Premium further distinguishes itself with DiPilot Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), while all variants feature touchscreen infotainment with smartphone connectivity and BYD’s signature smart SUV practicality.

Adding to its ownership appeal, the all-new Atto 2 comes with a once-a-year maintenance schedule, helping reduce long-term ownership costs while simplifying vehicle upkeep. Buyers will also enjoy an 8-year Drive Unit Warranty, 6-year or 160,000-kilometer bumper-to-bumper warranty, and an 8-year or 160,000-kilometer Blade Battery warranty. Introductory offers and attractive financing packages through BPI will be available from July 28 to August 31, 2026, before official retail pricing takes effect on September 1, 2026. Customers can also experience the newest electrified SUV firsthand during the BYD Tech Tour at the Trinoma Activity Center from July 28 to August 2.
