Bataan Partners with Xpress to Launch Eco-Friendly Ride-Hailing Service

In a major step toward green mobility, the local government of Bataan—led by Governor Joet Garcia, Rep. Abet Garcia, and PCEDO Assistant Department Head Raymund Macomis—has pledged full support for the expansion of Xpress, one of the country’s fastest-growing ride-hailing platforms. This collaboration comes ahead of the anticipated July launch of Xpress’s 4-wheel Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) electric vehicle (EV) fleet, positioning Bataan as a pioneer in sustainable transport innovation.

The partnership aligns with the province’s progressive environmental agenda and Xpress’s commitment to delivering cleaner, more efficient transport options. As one of the pilot locations for this eco-conscious initiative, Bataan stands to benefit from reduced emissions, improved traffic flow, and enhanced commuting experiences for both locals and visitors.

With the upcoming EV fleet deployment, Xpress aims to provide reliable and environmentally friendly transportation while creating livelihood opportunities for drivers and local businesses. Coordination efforts are underway with community leaders and transport stakeholders to ensure a seamless integration of services and to maximize the positive impact of this initiative.

This collaboration reflects Bataan’s growing reputation as a model for innovation and smart governance, and Xpress is proud to play a vital role in this journey. As the July launch approaches, both the province and the company are set to drive forward a cleaner, more connected future—one electric ride at a time.
