Countdown Begins: Gogoro Teases the Opening of its First Experience Center in the Philippines

The countdown to the future of intelligent mobility is underway as Gogoro Philippines prepares to unveil the Gogoro Experience Center (GEC) in Makati City, marking its maiden retail establishment in the country. This center promises an immersive glimpse into the future of smart electric mobility.

Situated on the second floor of Greenbelt 4, Makati Avenue, Ayala Center, the GEC will officially welcome visitors on November 7, a significant milestone preceding Gogoro’s commercial launch in the Philippines. It is poised to become a space where consumers can submerge themselves in the realm of Gogoro Smartscooters® and the innovative battery-swapping GoStations, constituting a personal transportation ecosystem revolutionizing the concept of mobility.

In tandem with this exciting development, Gogoro Philippines has also unveiled its brand-new website, www.gogoro.com/ph, which will be mirrored on LED screens at the GEC. Furthermore, captivating graphic animations will amplify this launch through Gogoro’s official Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Bernie Llamzon, Gogoro Philippines President, expressed his enthusiasm about this milestone, stating, “We are very excited to open our first retail space in the Philippines as we gear up to introduce Gogoro in Metro Manila. As we count down the days to the grand opening of our Gogoro Experience Center, we are preparing to welcome visitors and offer them an unforgettable glimpse of the future of transportation.”

Gogoro Philippines is the result of a groundbreaking collaboration between Globe Group’s 917Ventures Inc., Ayala Corporation, and Taiwan’s Gogoro, leading to the establishment of Gogoro Philippines. This joint venture brings Gogoro’s world-class technology to the Philippines as a cleaner and sustainable transportation alternative—a concept that has witnessed remarkable success in Taiwan, where it all began.

The Gogoro Network in Taiwanese cities features more battery-swapping stations than conventional gas stations, and it has become an integral part of the urban landscape. Serving nearly 550,000 riders and boasting over 1.1 million smart batteries in circulation, the network has facilitated more than 480 million total battery swaps, saving over 680,000 tons of carbon dioxide.

For the Globe Group, Gogoro Philippines represents its first venture into climate tech as it endeavors to promote eco-friendly transportation solutions in the Philippines. This strategic partnership is committed to offering intelligent and sustainable mobility options that are accessible and inclusive.

Gogoro had previously conducted a pilot test of Gogoro Smartscooters® with Globe employees, who contributed invaluable insights ahead of the commercial deployment. The company is also expanding its network of GoStations following the introduction of the battery-swapping system at The Globe Tower in Taguig City.

With the launch of the Gogoro Experience Center, more Filipinos can now embrace a sustainable, technologically advanced, and cost-effective mode of transport that pledges to reduce carbon emissions and reshape urban mobility.
