Borgo Panigale, Bologna, September 23, 2025 – Ducati has unveiled the new Panigale V4 R as part of the Ducati World Première 2026. The latest evolution of Ducati’s legendary superbike, the Panigale V4 R is the closest you can get to a World Superbike Championship machine while staying road-legal. Developed in close collaboration with Ducati Corse, the V4 R embodies years of MotoGP and Superbike experience, bringing race-derived technology to passionate riders worldwide.
At the heart of the Panigale V4 R is the 998 cc Desmosedici Stradale R engine, designed to deliver thrilling performance. Producing 218 hp (208.4 hp in US trim), the engine provides a sustained power curve and 7% more torque at mid-range revs compared to its predecessor. For riders who want the ultimate experience, fitting the racing exhaust boosts power to 235 hp, with a top speed exceeding 330 km/h, a level once reserved only for MotoGP machines.

The Panigale V4 R introduces MotoGP-inspired Corner Sidepods for the first time on a production motorcycle, creating a ground effect for more grip and stability. The bike also debuts the Ducati Racing Gearbox (DRG) with neutral below first gear, improving precision and preventing accidental neutral engagement under hard braking. New aerodynamics and a dynamic air intake boost top-end performance and cornering stability, delivering lower lap times and a more connected riding experience.

Complementing the powertrain are chassis upgrades derived from Ducati Corse. The V4 R uses the Front Frame and Hollow Symmetrical Swingarm developed for maximum stiffness balance and grip with modern slick tyres. Premium Öhlins suspension components, Brembo Hypure calipers with 330 mm discs, and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP V4 tyres make the Panigale V4 R ready for both street and track domination. Its ergonomic improvements, including a redesigned seat/tank and repositioned footpegs, ensure superior control and comfort during aggressive riding.

Electronics play a key role, with Ducati’s Vehicle Observer (DVO) algorithm optimizing ABS Cornering, traction control, slide control, wheelie control, and engine braking. The 6.9-inch TFT dashboard features a “Grip Meter” display for real-time performance feedback. Riders can further personalize their Panigale V4 R with Ducati Performance accessories, including carbon rims, racing fairings, and software upgrades. The bike will be available in Ducati Redstarting November 2025 in Europe, with US deliveries to follow the next month.
