Evro, the Philippines’ first brand-agnostic e-Mobility Service Provider (eMSP), has officially partnered with Shell Pilipinas Corporation to integrate Shell Recharge stations into the Evro network. This historic partnership marks the country’s first true roaming integration between major Charge Point Operators (CPOs), giving users seamless access to Shell’s EV charging stations and other networks through a single platform. The integration was formally launched on July 10 at Bonifacio Global City and will be fully operational nationwide by September.
Maite Ituralde, Head of Network Delivery for Mobility; Mike Ramolete, General Manager and Vice President for Mobility; and Jolo Valdez, Head of Non-Fuel Retail and E-Mobility for Mobility. Representing Evro Mobility Solutions, Inc. were Carla Buencamino, President, and Sharyn Jacobsen, Board of Director.
With this move, Evro addresses one of the most common challenges faced by EV drivers: fragmented charging infrastructure. By aggregating multiple CPOs into one app, Evro allows users to locate, start, stop, monitor, and pay for charging sessions across different networks without the need for multiple accounts or RFID cards. The partnership with Shell reinforces Evro’s mission of building a more convenient, scalable, and sustainable EV ecosystem in the country.
Currently, ten Shell Recharge stations are already live and accessible through the Evro app, starting with locations like Shell SLEX Mamplasan and the Seven | NEO building in Taguig. These sites are strategically located along expressways, shopping malls, and central business hubs, making it easier for drivers to charge their EVs during regular commutes or long-distance travel. The network includes a combination of DC fast chargers and AC chargers to support a wide range of vehicle needs.
What Users Can Look Forward To
Details
Expanded Access to Charging Stations
Shell Recharge broadens the network of Evro charge points, located in high-traffic areas like expressway rest stops, CBDs, and major malls. This enhances convenience and journey planning.
Easy Payment & Real-Time Information
Through the Evro app, users can check charger availability and compatibility in real-time, start/stop charging, and pay instantly—no RFID cards or extra steps needed.
Seamless Interoperability
Using the DOE-approved OCPI standard, Shell and Evro ensure smooth system integration, accurate billing, real-time updates, and a scalable platform for future partners.
Looking ahead, the partnership supports Shell’s commitment to energy transition and mobility innovation. By integrating with Evro’s OCPI-compliant platform, Shell enables smooth interoperability and real-time communication across systems, making charging more predictable and accessible. With a growing network and user-centric interface, Evro and Shell are setting new standards for EV adoption in the Philippines.
