Isuzu Drives Modern Public Transportation in Batangas with NPR PUV Turnover

Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC), together with dealer partner Isuzu Calapan, strengthened its commitment to modernizing public transportation in Batangas with the turnover of two Isuzu NPR85 Class III PUVs to Perlas RCG Transport Tours Corp., a transport cooperative based in Ibaan. The new units will serve the Lobo–Lipa City route and vice versa, providing commuters with a dependable, fuel-efficient, and passenger-focused mobility solution while supporting the cooperative’s efforts to improve its transportation services.

The turnover was witnessed by Perlas RCG Transport Tours Chairman Juanito Humarang, Ibaan Mayor Jane A. Casas, Vice Mayor Edralyn Joy A. Salvame, CENTRO Assistant Sales Manager Carlo Enriquez, and Agribank Lipa Branch Head Alvin Rempis. Mayor Casas also expressed confidence in the brand, citing Isuzu’s proven durability and reliability.

Built on Isuzu’s proven NPR platform, the NPR85 Class III PUV is designed to handle the demands of continuous public transportation operations, with a higher GVW and payload capacity suited for longer provincial and inter-city routes. Its front-facing seating configuration and closed, air-conditioned passenger cabin provide greater comfort for commuters, while its high ground clearance makes it suitable for wet, uneven, and challenging road conditions. Powering the PUV is Isuzu’s 4JH1-TC diesel engine, designed to deliver the efficiency and dependable performance required for daily operations.
