TARLAC CITY, Philippines — 4S1M EVO SMOKK Racing Team rider John Emerson “The Hitman” Inguito (#25) has captured the MotoIR Super Sport Bike GP Overall Championship, completing a remarkable debut season in the category aboard his Yamaha R3. Competing across a demanding 14-race calendar held exclusively at Tarlac Circuit Hill, Inguito secured the title against rivals riding more powerful motorcycles, proving that rider skill, strategic preparation, and teamwork can overcome significant technical disadvantages.

Entering the Supersport category beyond its established Underbone racing background, the team initially aimed to develop a competitive motorcycle and gain valuable experience rather than pursue a championship. Facing powerful rivals such as the Aprilia 457 and Kawasaki Ninja 500 and Ninja 400, the Yamaha R3 was considered an underdog on the grid. Instead of relying on extensive engine modifications, the team concentrated on optimizing suspension, braking, and handling to deliver a nimble and responsive machine. Despite missing one race and contending with a considerable power disadvantage, Inguito and the team remained competitive throughout six MotoIR rounds and two Superseries rounds.

The championship battle intensified late in the season, with Inguito taking the lead in the standings only after Race 12 on September 27, 2026, edging defending champion Leandro Paredes on his Aprilia 457 by just 10.25 points. The title was ultimately decided during the final race weekend on October 24–25, 2026. Inguito finished third in the sprint race before delivering a standout performance in the final race to claim first place and seal the overall championship. His victory capped a season defined by consistency, determination, and the team’s ability to maximize the Yamaha R3’s strengths against more powerful competition.

The championship marks a significant milestone for 4S1M EVO SMOKK Racing Team, demonstrating that success in high-level racing depends not only on motorcycle power but also on rider talent, technical preparation, and collective dedication. 4S1M Racing Philippines expressed its gratitude to the partners whose support helped make the achievement possible: SMOKK, 4S1M, G-REN, EVO Helmets, MFZ Racing, Platinum Lubricants, Imprint Customs, RK Chains, KOBY Motor Care, 178 Motor Parts, SPRS, FreedConn, Ashuka Gaskets, Semspeed, 1108 Racing, Brisk Sparkplugs, and Team Graphitee. Inguito’s underdog triumph stands as a testament to the team’s determination to compete, improve, and win against the odds.
