BYD Sealion 7 Arrives in PH: Bringing Performance Back to Electric SUVs

BYD Cars Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, has officially launched the all-new BYD Sealion 7, its latest fully electric performance SUV unveiled at the Glorietta Activity Center. Positioned as the brand’s flagship electric crossover, the Sealion 7 combines the high-performance engineering DNA of the Seal EV sedan with the practicality and versatility of a premium family SUV, marking another major step in the country’s accelerating shift toward electrified mobility.

Designed for drivers who demand both power and sustainability, the Sealion 7 features an all-wheel-drive dual-motor setup delivering 530PS (523hp) and 690Nm of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of just 4.5 seconds. Powered by an 82.6 kWh BYD Blade Battery, the SUV offers a driving range of up to 542 km (NEDC) on a single charge and includes four selectable drive modes for varying road conditions and driving preferences, reinforcing its capability as both a performance and everyday electric vehicle.

Inside, the Sealion 7 delivers a spacious and premium cabin measuring 4,830 mm in length, 1,925 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height, featuring ventilated power front seats, a panoramic glass roof, power tailgate with kick sensor, and additional front trunk storage for enhanced practicality. Technology highlights include a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a head-up display, voice assistant functions, and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, transforming the SUV into a mobile power source for outdoor use or emergencies. Safety is reinforced by the DiPilot ADAS suite with 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, lane departure assistance, blind spot detection, automatic emergency braking, and driver attention monitoring.

Pricing for the BYD Sealion 7 AWD starts at PHP 2,588,000, inclusive of a 6-year or 160,000 km vehicle warranty and an 8-year or 160,000 km Blade Battery warranty. Customers may also avail of financing offers through BPI with an all-in low downpayment of PHP 388,000 plus 1-year free comprehensive insurance until June 30. The model is available in Shark Grey, Cosmos Black, Aurora White, and Deep Sea Blue, all paired with black interiors, and is now part of BYD’s expanding electric lineup showcased during the BYD Tech Tour at Glorietta, alongside models such as the Shark 6, Sealion 5, Sealion 6, and Tang DM-i.
