foodpanda Philippines continues to strengthen its commitment to supporting Filipino communities through the expansion of its Panda-Malasakit Project, introducing a dual-impact campaign that benefits both commuters and delivery riders. As rising transportation and living costs continue to affect many Filipinos, the company launched its Libreng Sakay program, deploying four pink foodpanda jeepneys across key Metro Manila routes from May 29 to June 11. The initiative provides free rides during peak hours along selected routes, including SM Fairview–Cubao, Monumento–Baclaran, and Alabang–Mall of Asia, helping commuters reduce daily transportation expenses while enjoying surprise treats and special onboard activities.
Beyond assisting commuters, the campaign also extends support to participating jeepney drivers through fuel and grocery assistance. The initiative reflects foodpanda’s broader goal of creating meaningful community impact while making everyday journeys more convenient and rewarding. Through the Panda-Malasakit Project, the company aims to respond to real-world challenges by delivering practical support where it is needed most.

Complementing the Libreng Sakay program, foodpanda also brought back its successful Double Tipping initiative from May 29 to 31, matching every customer tip made through the app and crediting 100 percent of the matched amount directly to delivery partners. According to Patricia Jacinto, the campaign embodies the spirit of bayanihan by bringing together customers, riders, and partners to support one another during challenging times. As foodpanda continues to expand the Panda-Malasakit Project, the company remains focused on creating programs that uplift communities, support livelihoods, and make everyday life a little easier for the people it serves.
