Suzuki Philippines Incorporated (SPH) officially ushered in a new era of mobility with the unveiling of the All-New Suzuki e VITARA at the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS). As Suzuki’s first fully production-ready global electric vehicle, the e VITARA reflects the brand’s commitment to sustainable transportation while maintaining the practicality, reliability, and driving enjoyment that have defined Suzuki vehicles for generations. The launch comes as Suzuki continues to strengthen its position in the Philippine automotive market, building on years of growth and trust among Filipino motorists.

Leading the unveiling was Suzuki Philippines Automobile Division Director and General Manager Norihide Takei, who emphasized the company’s vision for the future of electrification. Designed around the bold “Metal Beast” concept, the e VITARA combines a commanding SUV stance with a sleek coupe-inspired silhouette, signature 3-point matrix LED lighting, and aerodynamic styling. Inside, the all-electric SUV offers a premium digital cockpit featuring a dual-screen display, floating center console, ambient lighting, premium leatherette seating, and advanced connectivity through wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integrated with an Infinity premium audio system.

Built on Suzuki’s new HEARTECT-e platform, the e VITARA is engineered specifically for electric mobility, prioritizing structural rigidity, passenger comfort, and battery protection. Power comes from a highly efficient electric axle motor producing 174 PS and 193 Nm of torque, paired with a 61 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery equipped with advanced thermal management and liquid cooling systems. According to Department of Energy homologation data, the e VITARA delivers a driving range of up to 475 kilometers on a single charge. In partnership with the Automobile Association Philippines, real-world efficiency tests also recorded an impressive 87.22 km/Lge equivalent, translating to 9.8 km/kWh.

Safety remains a cornerstone of the e VITARA, with Suzuki Safety Support technologies complemented by seven airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, an Electronic Parking Brake with Brake Hold function, and Dual Sensor Brake Support II. More than just a new model, the e VITARA represents Suzuki’s long-term commitment to electrified mobility and innovation. Scheduled for nationwide availability with a starting price of PHP 2,020,000, the all-new e VITARA offers Filipino drivers a compelling combination of efficiency, technology, practicality, and sustainability as Suzuki enters the electric vehicle era.
