SUZUKI SUPERCHARGED PROVES REAL ADVENTURE DNA OF THE NEW V-STROM 160 AND DR160

Following the successful launch of the new Suzuki V-STROM 160 and DR160, Suzuki Philippines brought together members of the media, motovloggers, content creators, and motorcycle enthusiasts for Suzuki Supercharged: The Real Adventure Experience on June 2, 2026. Designed to showcase the real-world capabilities of Suzuki’s latest adventure motorcycles, the event featured a challenging ride from Pasig City to the scenic and demanding routes of Tanay, Rizal. Participants were officially flagged off by Suzuki executives led by President Koichiro Hirao and Managing Director Norminio Mojica before embarking on a journey that combined highway touring, technical corners, and off-road exploration.

The ride took participants through the iconic Marilaque Highway, including the famous Big C and Devil’s Corner, before arriving in Sta. Ines, Tanay for an off-road orientation conducted by Motorcycle Riding School Philippines founder Coach Mel Aquino. Riders then tackled river crossings, hanging bridges, steep uphill and downhill trails, and other challenging obstacles carefully prepared to highlight the strengths of both motorcycles. The varied terrain provided an ideal environment to experience how each model performs under different riding conditions while pushing riders beyond their comfort zones.

Throughout the adventure, the V-STROM 160 impressed participants with its touring-focused character, featuring a comfortable upright riding position, Dual Channel ABS, and adjustable rear suspension that delivered confidence and stability on both highways and rough roads. Meanwhile, the DR160 demonstrated its off-road capabilities with its lightweight design, 162cc fuel-injected engine, high ground clearance, and responsive handling. Riders praised its ability to navigate technical terrain, steep inclines, and river crossings while maintaining excellent control and rider confidence.

Members of the media and content creators shared overwhelmingly positive feedback following the ride experience. The V-STROM 160 earned recognition for its comfort, accessibility, and versatility as a practical sport-touring machine, while the DR160 stood out for its agility, suspension performance, and rider-friendly nature in off-road environments. Safety and versatility emerged as common themes among participants, with many highlighting the confidence provided by the ABS-equipped braking systems and the motorcycles’ ability to adapt to the diverse road conditions commonly encountered by Filipino riders.
