Access Plus Racing Brings New-Generation Ducati Panigale V4 to BRC for PSBK Round 4

Access Plus Racing heads into the second half of the 2026 Philippine Superbike Championship (PSBK) with another milestone as its seventh-generation Ducati Panigale V4 makes its official Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC) race debut on September 5–6. The team had originally planned to campaign the new Panigale V4 at the season opener, but after testing revealed the potential of its Ducati Panigale V2 Supersport machines, the team made a last-minute decision to enter them in the premier PSBK category. TJ and Troy Alberto responded with a pair of 1–2 finishes, before the new Panigale V4 finally made its competitive debut at Round 2 at Clark International Speedway (CIS), where it immediately delivered another pair of victories and 1–2 finishes.

The return to BRC presents a fresh challenge for the Alberto brothers, as neither has raced the team’s fully prepared PSBK-spec Panigale V4 at the circuit despite having tested the new machinery there. Access Plus Racing enters Round 4 firmly in control of the PSBK Pro Class, with TJ leading the standings on 175 points and Troy second with 140 pointsas the brothers pursue another championship 1–2. Their strong form extends to the Supersport 600 (SS600) class, where Troy currently leads TJ by 10 points aboard the Ducati Panigale V2. Japanese guest riders Akito Haga and Ren Okabe also provided strong competition at Round 3, and the team hopes their return to BRC will add another layer to the battles.

With rain forecast for both Saturday and Sunday, changing track conditions could further test the team’s ability to adapt the Panigale V4’s setup. Qualifying is scheduled for Saturday, September 5, followed by the races on Sunday, September 6. “We’re really looking forward to seeing what we can do with the new-generation Panigale V4 at BRC,” said Troy Alberto #69, who highlighted the new bike’s upgraded chassis and the team’s progress despite limited wet-weather testing. Team Principal Toti Alberto added that the team is excited to finally race the Panigale V4 at BRC and build on the lessons learned at Clark, while TJ Alberto #77 welcomed the prospect of another strong challenge from the guest riders as Access Plus Racing seeks to maintain its advantage in both PSBK Pro and SS600.
