GAC Philippines is positioning the GAC E8 HEV as a practical bridge to electrified mobility for Filipino families, combining the convenience of a self-charging hybrid powertrain with premium comfort, flexible cabin space, and long-distance capability. Priced from ₱1.858 million, the seven-seat MPV offers a claimed range of more than 1,000 kilometers on a single tank, eliminating the need for regular plug-in charging while providing an efficient alternative for daily commutes, school runs, and family road trips. The E8 HEV forms part of GAC Philippines’ expanded MPV family alongside the All-New GN6 and GN8 PHEV Executive.

One of the E8 HEV’s key features is its highly flexible interior, with a Magic Storage seating system offering 18 cabin configurations. The third row can be folded flat, increasing cargo capacity from 345 liters to 1,917 liters, while Tea Break Mode transforms the rear section into a lounge-style space. Comfort and technology are further enhanced by second-row independent captain’s seats, with the GX variant offering One-Touch Zero Gravity Captain’s Seats with ventilation, massage, and power leg rests. The cabin also features an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, and seven USB ports.

Powering the E8 HEV is a 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle hybrid engine paired with an electric motor, producing 182 PS and 300 Nm of electric-motor torque. The system uses a 2-Speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT), designed to provide smooth and responsive acceleration while helping improve efficiency. With a claimed fuel consumption of 5.58 L/100 kmand a 60-liter fuel tank, GAC says the E8 HEV can deliver more than 1,000 km of driving range, making it suited for both urban use and long-distance journeys. As a self-charging hybrid, the vehicle does not require external charging infrastructure for its regular operation.

The GAC E8 HEV is available in GL and GX variants, with Crystal White and Elegant Black exterior colors and an all-black interior. The GL carries an SRP of ₱1,858,000, while the GX is priced at ₱1,998,000, with an introductory savings of ₱80,000 bringing their introductory prices to ₱1,778,000 and ₱1,918,000, respectively, for reservations made until September 30, 2026, subject to DTI Fair Trade Permit No. FTE B-264539 Series of 2026. GAC Philippines supports its customers through a nationwide network of 30 dealerships, a local parts warehouse, two years of free roadside assistance, and warranty coverage for its HEV models.
