Mober Bolsters Environmental Responsibility with Enlarged Fleet of 60 Electric Vehicles, Elevating Sustainable Delivery Efforts

Mober, a trailblazing force in sustainable logistics services in the Philippines, has proudly unveiled the expansion of its fleet, bolstering its commitment to environmentally friendly delivery solutions. The company’s latest move involves the addition of 30 new six-wheeler electric trucks and four three-wheelers, elevating its total fleet to an impressive 60 vehicles. This expansion marks a significant step towards Mober’s mission to revolutionize the Southeast Asian green delivery market.

Mober’s enhanced fleet now comprises 39 electric trucks, 17 electric vans, and 4 three-wheelers, catering to the growing demand for eco-conscious transportation solutions. The company’s ambitious goal is to have a fleet of 100 electric vans and trucks by the end of this year and an astonishing 500 units within the next two years, signaling its unwavering dedication to sustainability.

Earlier this year, Mober solidified its commitment to sustainability by strengthening its partnership with major brands, including IKEA Philippines, Unilever Philippines, and Nestlé Philippines. Additionally, the company is embarking on a pilot delivery program with the world’s largest chain of coffee shops, demonstrating its commitment to environmentally responsible initiatives.

As part of its sustainable journey, Mober is finalizing a loan application with government-owned institutions, Landbank and the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), both champions of the Electric Vehicle Industry Development Act (EVIDA Law). This legislation encourages the widespread adoption of electric vehicles in the Philippines, aligning perfectly with Mober’s eco-friendly objectives.

Dennis Ng, CEO of Mober, emphasized the company’s dedication to merging efficiency with sustainability, stating, “With each addition to our fleet, we’re not merely growing – we’re leading a shift towards a more sustainable Philippine logistics landscape.”

Mober has also made significant strides in reducing its carbon footprint through partnerships with companies like Nespresso for carbon-neutral deliveries and What3words for precise and efficient location-based services.

The global logistics and transport sector is a significant contributor to carbon emissions, responsible for approximately 24% of global emissions. Mober’s commitment to green logistics aligns with worldwide efforts to combat climate change and reduce emissions.

Ng concluded, “We aim to be synonymous with green logistics. When businesses contemplate eco-friendly delivery solutions, Mober should invariably be their first thought.”

The Philippine government is actively promoting electric vehicle adoption, with initiatives from the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s Executive Order No. 12 series of 2023 seeks to democratize access to electric vehicles, further propelling the nation towards a sustainable and greener future.
