SM Supermalls is powering eco-conscious travel this Holy Week with its expansive network of 123 Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (EVCS) across 69 malls nationwide—making it easier for EV owners to journey north or south sustainably. With 50 more EVCS planned for rollout in 2025, SM continues to strengthen its commitment to green mobility and support the Department of Energy’s push for widespread EV adoption. As a DOE-accredited EVCS operator, SM ensures all its stations comply with national standards, addressing infrastructure gaps and reinforcing its role as a driver of the Philippines’ low-carbon future.

EVs offer a cleaner alternative to traditional fuel-powered vehicles, eliminating direct emissions and significantly reducing greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide (CO₂). A Holy Week road trip from SM Mall of Asia to SM City Baguio (266 km) using an EV can save around 0.067 metric tons of CO₂—equal to 7.6 gallons of gasoline or 74.6 pounds of coal. Similar savings can be made on trips to SM City Clark, Tagaytay, and even as far south as SM City Legazpi or SM City Naga, with charging stopovers available at key SM locations such as SM City Rosales, SM City Urdaneta Central, and SM City Lucena.
In the Visayas and Mindanao, EV drivers can charge up at SM City Cebu, SM CDO Downtown & Uptown, and SM Lanang in Davao. A roundtrip between CDO and Davao (280 km) avoids 0.035 tons of CO₂—equivalent to 3.9 gallons of gasoline—without needing a recharge stop. Whether heading for a quick getaway or a long-distance trip, SM’s EV charging stations make clean travel convenient and accessible.
This Holy Week, #RechargeWithSM and embrace worry-free, emission-free travel across the Philippines, thanks to SM Supermalls’ growing EV charging network.
