Ford Philippines levels up the pickup game with the launch of the new Ranger Sport Special Edition, an upgraded version of the popular Ranger Sport. Designed for those who demand more from their everyday truck, this special edition delivers both visual appeal and practical enhancements that cater to daily drivers and off-road enthusiasts alike.
A standout feature is the long leg sports bar, which stretches from the cab to the rear, adding structural support and a more aggressive exterior profile. The inclusion of retractable cup holders on the instrument panel also brings welcome convenience—addressing a specific request from many Ford customers.

Under the hood, the Ranger Sport Special Edition packs a 2.0L Single Turbo Diesel engine producing 170 PS and 405 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. Available in both 4×2 and 4×4 configurations, this pickup is engineered to tackle tough terrain with confidence. Its suspension system—a front double wishbone and rear leaf spring setup—ensures a composed ride across various road conditions, while the 18-inch alloy wheels and ventilated disc brakes offer responsive handling and strong stopping power.
Inside the cabin, drivers enjoy a modern and intuitive interface, highlighted by an 8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The Ranger Sport Special Edition is also equipped with FordPass, allowing remote door locking/unlocking, engine start/stop with pre-cooling, vehicle locator, and vehicle status monitoring—all from a smartphone.
Available in Absolute Black, Arctic White, Blue Lightning, and Meteor Grey, the Ranger Sport Special Edition is priced starting at PHP 1,529,000 and comes with a 5-year warranty. It will be featured at the upcoming Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival from May 8–11, 2025, at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds. For more details, customers are encouraged to visit the official Ford website or their nearest Ford dealership.
