VinFast VF MPV 7 Charges Ahead as Official Fleet for 44th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting 2026

VinFast is strengthening its commitment to sustainable mobility as 11 units of the VF MPV 7 serve as the official electric vehicle fleet for delegates from ASEAN’s Dialogue Partners attending the 44th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM44) and its Associated Meetings from October 5 to 8, 2026. The deployment highlights the growing role of electric vehicles in supporting regional events and sustainable transportation, while providing delegates with comfortable, zero-emission mobility throughout the meetings. AMEM44 brings together energy ministers, senior officials, Dialogue Partners, and international organizations to advance cooperation on energy security, clean and renewable energy, energy efficiency, emerging technologies, infrastructure, and greater regional energy connectivity.

Launched in the Philippines in May 2026, the VinFast VF MPV 7 is a premium seven-seater electric MPV designed to meet the needs of Filipino families and modern passengers. Its spacious three-row cabin provides comfortable seating and up to 1,240 liters of cargo capacity, while its 60.13-kWh battery delivers up to 450 kilometers of range on a full charge under NEDC standards. Power comes from a 150-kW electric motor producing 280 Nm of torque, offering smooth and efficient performance for both urban travel and longer journeys. As the official mobility partner of AMEM44, the VF MPV 7 demonstrates the practicality of battery-electric vehicles for daily transportation while showcasing VinFast’s leadership in the local electric seven-seater segment.

The deployment also gives VinFast an opportunity to contribute to the broader discussions surrounding clean energy, sustainable mobility, and ASEAN’s energy transition. Through its participation in the ASEAN Energy Business Forum and associated activities, the company aims to highlight how electric vehicles and charging infrastructure can contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable transportation ecosystem across the region. As VinFast continues expanding its Southeast Asian presence, the company remains focused on making electric mobility more accessible through an integrated ecosystem covering electric vehicles, charging solutions, ownership, and aftersales support, while working with partners to help shape a cleaner and smarter future for mobility.
