Yamaha SEC Racing Team Delivers Strong Showing in MotoIR Round 5

The Yamaha SEC Racing Team continued its strong campaign in the 2026 Motul MotoIR National Championship, earning victories and multiple podium finishes across several categories during Round 5 at Tarlac Circuit Hill on September 19–20. McKinley Kyle Paz led the charge by securing pole position in both the Super Underbone LTD GP and Super Underbone Open GP qualifying sessions, with April King Mascardo and Timothy Rojas also placing among the leading contenders in the Open GP.

Paz converted his qualifying pace into a victory in the Super Underbone Open GP Sprint Race, leading a Yamaha SEC Racing Team 1-2 with Mascardo finishing second and Rojas fifth. In the Super Underbone LTD GP, Paz added a second-place finish in the Expert class, followed by Mascardo in third, while JM Malonzo secured P2 in the Intermediate category and Zain Doblada finished sixth.

The team continued its strong results in the Super Underbone Open GP, where Mascardo claimed the Expert-class victory, with Paz finishing third and Rojas fourth. Malonzo added another Intermediate podium with a second-place finish. In the Supersport Bike Women’s Championship, Justinne Bethany Tolentino also secured P2 after qualifying second, while Doblada, who entered the Supersport 200 GP with momentum from his Round 4 victory, qualified second but was unable to finish the Round 5 race.

Round 5 highlighted the Yamaha SEC Racing Team’s depth across multiple MotoIR categories, with its riders collecting two victories and several podium finishes throughout the weekend. Through its continued participation in the national championship, Yamaha Motor Philippines remains committed to developing Filipino racing talent and providing riders with opportunities to compete, progress, and Defy Limits on the national stage.
