During the Makina MotoShow 2023, Yamaha Motor Philippines revealed one of their new sport machine, the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT, which is designed to be a “Road Conqueror”. This motorcycle offers excellent sport performance, all-around versatility, and serious long-distance ability, making it suitable for solo commuting or weekend trips with a passenger and luggage. The Tracer 9 GT is equipped with a newly-designed CF die-cast aluminium Deltabox frame, which enhances the bike’s rigidity, agility, and stability.

One of the key features of the Tracer 9 GT is its newly-developed 889cc liquid-cooled 3-cylinder engine, which is lighter, quicker, and more powerful, with increased torque at lower RPMs. The improved combustion efficiency and reduced weight result in impressive fuel efficiency. The bike also features twin 3.5″ TFT displays that provide intuitive, easy-to-read data to help riders focus on the road while staying informed about their speed, gear, rider aid mode, odometer, temperature, and trip information.

Additionally, the Tracer 9 GT is equipped with bi-functional and mono-focus LED headlights that give the bike a dynamic look and provide superior illumination in any situation. The TRACER signature taillight enhances the bike’s lightweight appearance and sporty feel. The bike also features a sophisticated electronics system, including a proven IMU (engine control unit) that receives and reflects data from the bike’s systems, such as the Traction Control System (TCS), Slide Control System (SCS), and front-wheel LIFT Control System (LIF), to give riders ultimate control in varying weather and surface conditions.

Yamaha launched the first TRACER, which completely revolutionized the Sport Touring world by combining thrilling torque-rich performance with remarkable long-distance comfort. Since then, over 50,000 riders have chosen the TRACER and made it the best-selling model in the class. The Tracer 9 GT is priced at P929,000 in the Philippines and features electronic semi-active suspension that constantly adjusts front and rear damping force to provide riders with the smoothest and most secure ride – whatever the load or speed.

The Tracer 9 GT has a diamond frame type, telescopic forks front suspension system, and a swingarm rear suspension system, which ensure maximum stability and a comfortable ride. It has a length of 2,175mm, width of 885mm, and height of 1,430mm-1,470mm. The seat height is adjustable, ranging from 810mm-825mm, and the wheelbase measures 1,500mm. The bike has a minimum ground clearance of 135mm and a wet weight of 220kg (including full oil and fuel tank). The fuel tank capacity is 18L, and the oil tank capacity is 3.5L.
