PAZ POWERS TO SEASON-BEST FINISH AT ARRC ROUND 4 IN INDONESIA

MANDALIKA, INDONESIA – McKinley Kyle Paz delivered his strongest performance of the 2026 Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) season as the Yamaha Philippines Racing Team completed Round 4 at the Pertamina Mandalika International Circuit, securing a season-best second-place finish in the highly competitive Supersport 600 (SS600) category. After qualifying seventh, Paz battled his way to fourth in Race 1 before stepping up his performance in Race 2, fighting at the front to claim P2 and his second podium of the season. The result improved on his third-place finish in Thailand and highlighted the Filipino rider’s continued progress on the international stage.

Paz’s performance in Indonesia also marked a significant turnaround from the previous round at Mobility Resort Motegi in Japan, where he finished P9 and P7. In Mandalika, his P4 and P2 results demonstrated his growing pace and consistency as the championship enters its latter stages. More importantly, the podium finish showed that Paz is closing the gap to the front-runners and establishing himself as a serious contender among Asia’s best SS600 riders. With every round, the Yamaha Philippines Racing Team continues to push beyond previous limits in pursuit of its goal to compete at the highest level.

The weekend proved more challenging for April King Mascardo and Timothy Rojas in the intensely competitive Underbone 150 (UB150) category. Mascardo qualified seventh and finished P12 in both Race 1 and Race 2, while Rojas, who started from P21, battled through the field to finish P19 in Race 1 before crossing the line in P21 in Race 2. Although the results fell short of their targets, the Mandalika round provided valuable experience for both riders as they continue to develop against some of the region’s strongest underbone competitors. The team will use the lessons from Indonesia to regroup, improve, and return stronger in the next round.

With four rounds completed, the Yamaha Philippines Racing Team remains focused on continued progress. From Paz’s first podium of the season in Thailand to his breakthrough second-place finish in Indonesia, the team’s campaign continues to demonstrate its determination to Defy Limits. The championship now moves to Malaysia for Round 5, scheduled from September 11 to 13, where Paz will aim to carry his momentum and challenge for the top step of the podium, while Mascardo and Rojas look to bounce back from a difficult weekend.
